Thanks Zargg! Now I can watch my full screen HD Video along with my uncompressed 5.1 audio surround sound mix. If I can only find authoring software that uses a better audio encoder than the highly compressed AC3 surround sound encoder when burning to Blu-ray. Cyperlink's Power Director does use a first generation DTS surround sound encoder which is far superior to the AC3 but does not come near in sound to a uncompressed 5.1 mix from Sonar. There are some reasonably priced first and second generation 5.1 audio encoders available. While PC video editing software has made many advances it seems like surround sound audio has not when authoring to media. Surround Sound encoders should be treated like plug-ins when developing authoring software. Sony does have Blue Print authoring software but it is cost prohibitive for small A/V studios.
