Good point. FWIW, I recently moved to a new laptop and installed X2 specifically to get V Vocal and R Mix functionality (the former only for compatibility with old projects). It's true that you can do a "cleaner" install by doing a custom install that way but it seems a bit over the top to first remove everything and then reinstall partway.

I have found that by assigning the Cakewalk Content path to a separate drive keeps the big stuff off of my boot/system drive.  Less work to keep the system clean that way!

I try to set all the cakewalk paths to my Raid 1 HDDs. I do strongly dislike the default trend when installing all software to be automatically set to the C drive as I dont want my boot SSD getting clogged.

I wish that software nowadays always asked which drive you want it installed to, and including any sub directories.

+1!
If you don't mind spending a few minutes editing paths in Sonar preferences you can safely move the content folders to a location on a larger drive.

+1 My content and project folders are on another drive. You can also move content from the programs folder and create directory junctions if inclined to do so.

From a space perspective, also realize that Win7 includes your page file as "consumed space." Take that with a grain of salt.
