  • [Solved] FXTeleport Server / Bitbridge Issue?

OK... I'll start off with an apology as I still use a few 32bit plugins for a number of reasons...

The only issue that seems to be resulting from that is Sonar crashing when closing a file with these plugins. It happens often but I've simply gotten used to it as it causes no loss...

...but I've noticed a (recently) new message when the crashes happen telling me that fxteleporter has stopped working?

I stopped using fxTeleport many years ago at least 2 or 3 workstations back...

While searching to find it and uninstall it, the only instance I can find is somehow related to bitbridge? Is this a company and not Sonar's internal 32bit bridge?

I found an entry (not under cakewalk) for bitbridge, but can find nothing for fxTeleport anywhere outside of the install program in my downloads. When I boot up the machine, it is not running, but when I start Sonar, I find it running in Task manager.

Can anyone tell me a little about this? A Safe way to stop it running if Cakewalk itself doesn't need it? It is not in my remove programs either...

Thanks...

BitBridge is based on FX Teleport. It launches automatically when a 32bit plug-in is loaded into a project when running 64bit SONAR. Your options are:
  • stop using plug-ins that have no 64bit option,
  • use 32bit SONAR when using 32bit plug-ins or
  • try jBridge.
My guess is the 32bit plug-ins have not been updated in some time. There may come a time when updating everything except these plug-ins may not be possible. At that time, the solutions will be even more limited.

Thanks Steve...

I was suspecting that and was looking for confirmation. It makes sense now as well seeing the crashes are definitely related to the 32 bit plugins.

It's not a problem as it only happens closing such files and I always do a save before exiting.

Interesting that bitbridge is based on fxteleport. I was thrilled with that program back in those days... ;-)
