If the OP wants to remove say like a verse in all tracks... just select the area one the now time line like if you where going to create a loop, then select all the tracks and hit delete...
 
I must say that I have no idea about all the fancy ways you guys are telling them how to do it. lol
I'm sure they are sound but simple and fast is the best for me. :)

I believe you can set the level of the db to take out below any db. I know I removed part of a vocal track once... oops... :)
 

 
Exactly. It's not a good tool for removing specific high-level material without affecting anything else.

You can always undo it and try different settings. It can be micromanaged.
