Also, the presets in the new LP-EQ should have two folders, Mastering and Mixing. The Mixing presets all seem to have selected the "Non Linear" Precision by default, which is useful for VSTs and live tracking.
Unfortunately, the "default" setting when you first insert the effect is using "Medium" precision. So follow Zargg's suggestion above, or switch to a Mixing preset.
The Mastering presets are really intended to be used with audio tracks only, not virtual instruments, due to the look ahead buffering required by the linear mode.
