It's a confirmed bug in the plugin. It's not Splat.  It crashes other DAWs, even crashes on Macs.

This workaround works for me ...

Press the "Learn" button before playing any notes.   Even saving the project immediately after inserting BBCP, before playing anything, seems to work for me.

^^ I forgot (to add earlier) that I read this before installing any of their products.
Might be the reason for my lack of problems.

Thanks abacab!

That explains why I didn't get any crashes yesterday as had been playing with some of the UI features including learn button.

All I did was save the project after inserting BBCP...no crashes! Didn't need to touch the Learn button. Thanks for the tip!

I am having the same issue with Big Bang. Will try the steps above. If it's a known issue, Sonivox support isn't sharing this info.

I tried that, and it worked as well.  So did running Sonar in Windows 8 compatibility mode

There is another Sonivox plugin - Vocalizer Pro -  that constantly crashes Sonar. It happens every time I go to "Load ChordMap" and try open any Chord map (.smp) file.  Is there anybody here who experienced the same?

Interesting ... I have Vocalizer Pro, but never tried to load a chord map before.  Thanks man, you just broke my Sonar, LOL!!!

But seriously, I tried it with Sonar in Win 7/8 compatibility mode, and Administrator mode, same crash.  I tried Reaper, same crash.

When I look at the crash results in AppCrashView, I see the same exception code, fault module name, and fault module version for both DAWs.  The module and version is KERNELBASE.dll 10.0.14393.479, which appears to belong to Windows.  I assume this may be a Windows compatibility issue.  The exception code is 0xe06d7363.

According to the SONiVOX website, this appears to be another application of theirs that is not yet fully Windows 10 compatible.  They only list Windows 8 as the most recent OS here:

I have also laptop running Win 7, will check loading chordmaps tomorrow. Will let you know.
