Is Cakewalk commitment to a minimum remaining lifespan of Sonar on Windows?

As a suggestion command centre  should have an option to store downloaded program files, I have a slow connection and if my system went down it would take days to restore it using command centre. By the old system I could store programs and restore in hours.

It already does, check the systems settings for CCC to see where the files are downloaded. I also delete old downloads as they take up space and are no longer necessary. This is also handy if your studio computer doesn't connect to the internet...you can download the installers on a different computer, transfer them to your studio computer, and install from there.

Thanks Craig, I'll look into that. All my previous versions were copied an stored on remote drives and were easy to access. I'd rather invest in space than wait days to get up and running again, withdrawal symptoms you know.

Yes, if you log in you will see that we are only charging you the difference in price from $199 and what you paid earlier this year. We sent out emails to folks like you a couple of weeks ago. So because you renewed, you would pay $99. Just log in to the store and you will see your price.

Hmm ... I upgraded from Professional to Platinum in March 2016, but haven't gotten an email about a special upgrade. Come to think of it, there was a bit of a kerfuffle in that upgrade, where I was sent emails about upgrading from Artist, instead of from Professional, so I think there might be a glitch in the matrix ... I mean, the database.

Should I check in with customer service? Or am I just outta luck?

Edited to add: Aha! The special deal is for people who upgraded last year, and renewed this year. That's not me. Bummer.

I just recently went MAC and while bootcamp is nice I'm thrilled at the thought of a native version.
If I renew for the lifetime updates on windows, does that include the final OS X version when it hits a release version, or will I need to purchase it after the alpha/beta test phase?

Important questions!!!!

I can only afford purchases after getting my yearly tax refund. The last check was used in February to renew my Platinum membership. I will not have more money until February 2017! So...

- Do I have lifetime updates?
- Will I be given lifetime updates if not?
- Will lifetime updates be available for purchase again after August 31st 2016 for any reason?

I have been using Cakewalk / Sonar since Version 5.0 and would hate to think that I can't get in on this.

Thanks, but I literally can not afford that. I'm retired and my wife doesn't make very much. I guess I'm done then?

My guess is that you would pay for the yearly update next year and the year after that, etc.

Yes, OS X installers would be included for Lifetime Update. We don't sell stuff based on what OS you are running. Just understand SONAR Mac is in Alpha. That's the early stage.

Here's a question about Lifetime Updates that I don't remember seeing addressed...

Say I do upgrade to Lifetime SPLAT... then Overloud releases TH4. Last month we got the "basic upgrade" from TH2 to TH3 as part of the rolling update. Will this kind of thing continue to happen for stuff we already own the "basic" versions of if we are on Lifetime?

I'm mostly wondering about Addictive Drums since that is what I use most. Synth instruments I don't really care about at this time but I know others would.

This is absolutely not false. I just checked and you were unsubscribed. I have re-activated you  and sent you the email myself.
