The Lifetime Updates deal appears to have been extended through the end of the year:

Limited time offer: Lifetime Updates will be available only through December 31, 2016. Act now to secure your lifetime updates. Pricing and availability subject to change.

I guess they like what it's been doing for their sales.

Shame, Cakewalk. At least choose different language:

"Due to popular demand, the Limited Time offer for purchasing Lifetime Updates has been extended! Act now to secure your lifetime updates (unless, of course, we extend it further. Which we might do. Or not.)"

Otherwise, it's like "you know that thing we said last month? Totally not true. Only joking! But this time, you can trust us. We Really Mean It(tm)"

Yes, I'm feeling cheeky this morning.

Popular demand? Absolute hyperbolic bull ****.

Push, push, push and then this?????????

Total ****.

Whoever devised all this stoooooopidity should be gone immediately.

When is the Sonar for Mac supposed to be released? I thought it was going to be in August?

Since when was August considered to be Fall/Autumn?

Maybe a silly question (and sorry if it's already been addressed; I found nothing conclusive in any search results), but does Platinum need to be installed by today in order to receive the Lifetime Updates, or simply purchased? (I have some work I'd like to finish up in X3 before installing SPlat.)

That would be horrible if you had to have it installed.  I bought mine specifically for the Mac version, which is not out yet.  I would be so bummed.

I am also waiting for the Mac version. I would really hate to find out that Platinum needs to be installed for the Lifetime updates after it says on "My Membership" page,  You will receive lifetime updates for this product forever! I assume that you guys looked at your info under "My Account" too?

I thought the same thing Bristol Jonesey. Turns out the US uses different start dates to the seasons to the simplified 3 month groupings we are accostemed to in Aus and Europe. I doubt that the date of the fall equinox will have much effect on the release of McSonar though:)

Hi Andrew,
I have just upgraded to Sonar Platinum + Lifetime Update from Sonar Professional, many thanks for that.
I would eventually like to install Sonar Platinum on a MacBook Pro for mobile use, as well as my Win 10 based home workstation. Do you anticipate this type of cross-platform license being made available or will I have to license two
copies?
Regards

Hi. It has been stated before that you do not need a separate licence for Mac. It will be available for both pc and Mac.
All the best.
