Soloing a bus has the effect of playing playing all the tracks that feed into that bus. So, by the same logic, if a user solos an aux track that inputs from a patch point and has its echo on, shouldn't that automatically solo, or at least play through, all the sources that feed into that patch point? This doesn't happen currently. I'd argue this is a bug, but suspect CW devs might disagree, so here it is. :D

Voted!   Since my main use for Aux Tracks so far has been as pseudo-buses this would a great option.

My guess though is that this is the right forum for it because Aux Tracks are still audio tracks, and soloing one audio track never automatically solos another audio track.   Well, at least without some kind of grouping, which is exactly what I'm just starting to do.

... so what happens? Do you hear silence!!? I'm not in front of my daw right now and haven't intensively used the new patchpoint/aux feature yet. (Will even try it out today.)
Voted though!! To me seems that's the way it should be. Or maybe as a user choice from within the preferences.

There are three use cases with this.

1) The Aux track contains NO clips.  In this case, "Thru Solo (C)" makes sense.
2) The Aux track contains audio clips and IM is enabled.  Solo should work the same as regular audio tracks, AND "Thru Solo(C)" should pass all audio from other sources as well.
3) The Aux track contains audio clips IM is NOT enabled.  Solo should work the same as regular audio tracks.

I'd like to see Waveform Preview in the Auxes too, same as the Busses.
