Looking for some feedback on this audio interface and how well it behaves with Sonar Platinum. Your insight would be appreciated!

This combo works perfectly for me.

There are threads here with people yakking about issues and beta drivers and so on. 
Most of the Scarletts are rock solid but there seems to be issues for some with the 2i2 and 2i4 2nd gen drivers. I have no issues with my 1st gen 6i6. 
My self for the same money would get the Tascam us2x2. It has midi ports and will run on wall power. I'm also not a fan of the Scarlett pre amps. MY old Tascam us1641 is better in that dept.   USB powered interfaces that don't have the option for wall power are off my list immediately.

Consider stepping up a notch.  The other Focusrite units above the 2xx level come with mixer / routing software.
