Hey Everyone,
I haven't posted on here much about the end of Cakewalk (been more active in the Facebook groups about it). But obviously after 21 years of being a Cakewalk-only user, the whole thing has been quite weird and sad for me. So a few weeks back, I saw the writing on the wall and knew that I was going to eventually have to switch DAWs (maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but eventually), so I started researching every other DAW and after making up my mind that it was PROBABLY going to be Studio One that I went with, I ended up deciding to jump on it right then and there because of the Black Friday deal. While I'll of course keep Sonar Platinum installed forever if possible, and continue to finish existing projects and songs in it, I've started making all new songs and projects in Studio One, and this is the first completed song I've done in my new DAW. Honestly the learning curve wasn't that bad. There are things that are different, but most of them I've taken to quite quickly. There are a few things that still bug me about it but I'm learning to work around them, and honestly my whole workflow is actually faster in Studio One. Quality wise I'd say I'm getting the same if not better. Overall I'm definitely happy with my decision... Not happy that I had to make the decision haha.
Anyway, here's the track. Hope you enjoy it.
