Yes, I got the update too, but if you look at the version, it says: 23.1.00 build 32 [2017.01].

So maybe it was a steam related update or something.

Would be cool if they provided some info about it.

Is the February update delayed or will the updates go in the March update?

It's hugely appreciated that Cakewalk made such a good choice not to release the update when problems were found.

It looks like that update was a common VC redist update performed by Valve. They manage all of those installers.
