Maybe you should post to the SONAR X forum, but anyway, somehow that sounds like an "administrator"  thing.
Try running SONAR as administrator. Then again, it would be really bad if you should always run it as admin.

What was the administrator solution for you?

Thanks.

The fix that was found in 2014 may or may not be applicable now.

There is a "Take Ownership" registry hack that puts a "take ownership" command on the right-click context menu.  I use that when I get an administrative issue like this.  You right-click on the offending drive or folder and chose this option.  It then goes through all the files in a DOS window and gives you access to them. It takes a while if there are a lot of files.  NOTE:  I am not an expert registry hacker and you had better check this out with someone who is before doing anything with it, but it works fine for me. Here is the link:

Right-click on Sonar shortcut, choose "Run as Administrator".  If that solves the problem, you can set it permanently in Properties-Settings.
