Mono vocal track vs. stereo effects

Just watching a video about Izotope's Nectar 2 and there is a caution about Nectar's output being stereo, whereas I always record my audio in mono and route to a stereo bus.
Anything I need to be watching out for here--with ANY stereo output effect?
Thanks in advance.

Not really. a lot of Guitar Sims, plug ins and even synths are stereo.
Meaning you record a mono track and the guitar Sim, plug in, synth splits the signal to stereo.
So its (probably) no different from what you are already doing now.

Without having seen the video, it's probably a warning to make sure you're letting the output be stereo and not recollapsing it to mono, because Nectar has (for instance) stereo reverb in it which will lose its point in mono.

Anytime you add an effects bus and send any mono signal to it you are taking the mono signal and processing it into the stereo field. Of course it is now blended (wet/dry) with the original mono signal so if what you are being cautious about is Phasing issues, don't worry.
