Not bad. I found it a little difficult to see the menu's on screen. This would be a great thing to accompany new feature releases as this first episode does.

Why laugh at the old dialog? It is still being called up in the instrument browser. Replace that, too.

By the way, I got confused with the new dialog in one respect:
Input says "Omni", I thought, no, I want it to record on Channel 1.
So I opened the dropdown and saw:
All inputs,
Session Drummer 1,
EZdrummer 1,
Virtual Controller.

I messed around a bit and realized I had no idea what these things mean, so let's rather put it back the way it was.
So how do I go back to Omni?
I tried All Inputes - MIDI Omni - nope.
Session Drummer 1 - MIDI Omni - also not.
Tried the lot, none showed just Omni, like originally.

So I thought, heck. OK; just select "None" for now, then delete the track and start again.
And HEY PRESTO! It displayed "Omni"!

So if you want Omni, select None...?!?

Edit: Incidentally, the old dialog does have a help button. Good for beginners.

Perhaps they could have a video contest wherein they set up obscure and well-known controllers using ACT.  Midway through, they could become frustrated and discuss the need for a new solution!

This was a cool video.  I kinda dismissed the add track button as a "that's cool for noobs" feature, but if I am adding tracks that don't conform to track templates I set up, I will be using that feature.

Very cool guys. I laughed, I cried, I learned something new.
I also dismissed this feature at first. But after watching this video I will use it for sure.

Thnx

I am glad this video is helpful. We are still exploring the concept so we will look forward to feedback and fine tune.

Every little bit helps and reduces the learning curve...

Great idea to do a weekly video guys. I wouldn't generally comment on production but since you specifically asked for feedback - I  am not a big fan of the infomercial style format where one of the presenters pretends to be surprised and excited by every revelation. You are both articulate guys and it seems a bit cheesy. It is perfectly fine for you both to know what you are talking about;)

The only other comment I would make is I am unsure how wise it is to rubbish the version of your software that was being touted as your flagship only 12 months ago to show how good your new version is. Surely there are plenty of competing DAW's that could fill that unenviable position.

Those personal taste points aside - great job!
