Hi Bruce,
I hear what you are saying but that was just meant in fun.
As you know software is ever evolving and a new version can make dramatic improvements to some areas. The point being made is that the new workflow is vastly more efficient. There are also some optimizations that make the old version seen really slow in comparison. So were just poking fun at ourselves really. Don't take it too seriously or literally:)

Ahhh - fair call Noel.  Certainly no harm in a bit of fun:) You will certainly get no argument from me with regards to how much Sonars efficiency has improved this last year. I don't remember the last time I had to wait for it to do anything!

I welcome back the Webisodes. These events can show off more of the new features in ways that they were meant to be explained or ascertained. Many times knowing a why a new feature is useful helps give credence to its usefulness and background. I'll add that, it may be fun to know if a new feature were influenced by the forum. Even problems corrected by feedback from the forum or support calls might help encourage users to offer up that feedback more accurately and frequently.

As far as production, in my opinion, I feel it would be dramatic to build the characters as Myth-Buster types. They are both known experts in the field, and can either meet a challenge or prove it's not practical (but there's a better way), this would be an incredible opportunity to challenge the presenters and let them determine the best way to accomplish a complex task. Just for fun!

... I  am not a big fan of the infomercial style format ...
... The only other comment I would make is I am unsure how wise it is to rubbish the version of your software that was being touted as your flagship only 12 months ago to show how good your new version is....
... Those personal taste points aside - great job! ...

I agree with Bruce. Making fun of your previous flagship product or even of yourself isn't funny.
For ideas on new episodes why not use Cakewalk's own blog? It has quite a few great articles. Also Craig Anderton's weekly tips thread is an excellent source.

...if I am adding tracks that don't conform to track templates I set up, I will be using that feature.

That brings up an idea.  Has anyone thought of adding a third tab to the Add Track dialog that prompts adding tracks via a template or templates? Just click Add Track, Templates tab, then select the template.  It all falls under adding tracks/

Ohh! you need to go post that in the features and ideas forum right now so I can give it 5 stars.

Great video comparing the then and now with Sonar.  It shows progress and that we can have some fun with improvements.   For some of us, we like the newer stuff.  For others, as long as we can record in a stable environment, we are happy.

Keep on doing a great job,  (Now hand me a Cakewalk coffee Mug and we will call it even).

It's an idea whose time may have come. In fact, another poster had just made the same suggestion a few hours earlier. Still worth thumbing up IMHO.
