I recently saw a post on You Tube  displaying a software for the iPad called eyoControl app giving remote access to Sonar using  rtpMIDI.  I've never heard of this but when I saw the tutorial video my my mind was blown away.

Who has experienced this on their iPad and how well does this work. I have and iPad 2 collecting dust but if this works, it will come out of the cabinet.

Are there any similar software's on the marking providing the same capabilities but even better? Do Tell !!!

I have eyoControl, V-Control Pro 1 and AC-7 Core. All work well.
(V-Control Pro 1 doesn't use rtpMIDI, they have their own sw for that)

I've been using V-Control for a while now. Works pretty well as a mixer-style controller.

Going to look for these software's when I get home.  No more running back and forth between the Mic and the DAW.

Hi. I actually bought a bunch of these iPad apps to control SONAR (V-Control and the AC-7 "package" one night after a few too many beers), but I have yet not tried a single one. I went so far as to install rtpMIDI, and there it stopped as I felt a little overwhelmed as to what to try next. I also need an iPad holder for my mic stand (excuses, excuses). But I will check this thread later to (hopefully get some advice / feedback as well as) see how things works out for you. (Rant over)
All the best.

I have my iPad setup as an extra monitor which means portable touch screen for Sonar...Very handy.

I use AC-7 here, it works very well.

Having said that, I don't use it nearly so much as I did in the beginning. If I only need control of start /stop etc. remotely, I use my wireless keyboard. Not so high tech, but effective.

Sort of a hijack ,sorry, but while were taking iPads, does anybody use a bluetooth foot controller to scroll through lyrics? I remember a thread talking about this but it's not easy to find old threads anymore around here.
I find finger swipes overshoot my pages.
