Hey everybody. First, I want to thank everyone who has help me in previous post. My music creator 6 is up and running and my Amplitube 3 is sounding great but I am having a new issue.

When I select my ASIO driver (Fast Track) for the Amplitube the drive for Music Creator says ASIO but the rest of the options are blank. The same is true If I close Amplitube, set the driver in Music Creator then re-open Amplitube. I can either use Amplitube but can't record or record without being able to use Amplitube.

Amplitube 3 still does not show up in the VST search. I take it I need to move the dll file into a searchable file or am I off base?

All help is appreciated.

Hi Caferacer,

Amplitube should appear in the FX list in the browser pane:

A VST should not have anything to do with you driver functions, AFAIK.
There's no need to jump back and forth in the driver settings.
If your Fast Track is your playback and recording timing master and it's drivers (ONLY) are selected in MC Preferences (or ist it Options in MC?) you should be able to record no matter what VST you have inserted in Music Creator.

I don't understand what you mean by "selecting ASIO drivers for Amplitube...the driver for MC". Are you using it in standalone mode? If so, you can not record it with MC. You have to use it as a VST in MC.

And yes, you must  put AT it in the same folder where your other plugins are, or have Plugin Manager scan the folder it's in.

Using ASIO you usually have only the ASIO panel to set latency in milliseconds. I'm not sure if it's the same with all soundcards, though.

Set the driver to ASIO and don't mess with it again.... there's no need to do so.

To hear A3 be sure the "echo input" is on.  Otherwise you hear the clean guitar sound.

I find that the latency with the amp sims is a bit too much for me to deal with. Even a slight latency bugs me, so I prefer to use some sort of real guitar amp or my POD.
