The 850 EVO SSDs sustain ~520MB/Sec on reads... and have much faster access time than a (slow) 2.5" conventional HD.
In short, much faster boot... and apps open quicker

Don I'd stay away from hybrid drives for your samples... get a straight SSD... it's both load time (for me) and more importantly, streaming time for you with your RAM. They're so friggin' cheap right now...
