@JonD - Yea I have it rigged to work at USB3 speeds. I am, however, interested in your workaround/fix.
It's not "my" fix, in that I've never had to deal with it personally - only read about it. Basically, because Win 7 didn't natively support USB 3, you have to incorporate the USB 3 driver another way. The best solution IMO is to upgrade to Win 8.1 which does install the driver (but, of course, many users may not want to go that far).
If you've already managed to install the USB 3 driver, then you don't have to worry about it. I would still verify in Device Manager that you actually have the USB 3 host controller working.
