OK have you tried to print from a win app? How about copy and paste from different apps. I have Fl Studio 12. I don't think the mobile version is anything like it. I also had Groove Studio. It looked nice but was not all that useful. I didn't bother with their mobile version.

I don't know the technical issues with Win RT but I can't find a single Win RT app that can replace a full desktop program. Maybe in the future but for now there just are none.

I would much rather CW did a Mac version of Sonar first. That is saying a lot for me.

And there lies the common misconception of the UWP. It's an application model that can target multiple devices of developers choosing. Why would you assume I or any reasonably thinking person would want such a complex application as Sonar on a phone?!
That's just unreasonable.

Now I can see a new DAW built with the mobile user in mind (small screen 5"-11") from Cakewalk.

See Image-Line's FL Mobile 3 and Allihoopa's Figure as examples of a true UWP apps for mobile and desktop: They're both well done.

I want to see a UWP desktop version of Sonar.

Yes, I have printed from UWP apps. Yes, I have copied and pasted from different UWP apps.

Developers of the legacy Win32 application model are stuck in the old ways. Win32 is old, familiar, and still profitable. But Win32 is a hot mess as an application model. The UWP is the now and future of Windows applications.

Do you understand the UWP is ***not*** about creating modern apps that ***must*** run on everything?

It's about creating modern applications that can, at developers choosing, run on ***targeted*** Windows 10 devices. I don't understand why so many think a complex application such as Sonar for example would make a good UWP app to run on a phone or tablet. That's ridiculous.

How much are UWP apps selling for these days? Anything in the $300-$500 range?

I hope there is a UWP version of Cakewalk Sonar in the works.

Be the first major DAW to support UWP!!!

Hmmmm. Is there really a market for this? Windows has hardly taken over the mobile OS world.
That aside, even given an electron microscpoe, I still could not locate my interest in Sonar on a phone:)

Please list the apps you know that can print and copy and paste between them? I would really like to know.
