Now, recording vocals, I get a message like, "Recording may not be saved. Audio disk may be full"--or words to that effect.  My D drive (named "Audio") where I keep all my Sonar projects shows this:

330 GB used
601 GB free

I hardly think it is out of space.  What does this message mean and what should I do?  Thanks

I clicked save to save my project last night and got the same message. I kept clicking save and it finally saved. I have plenty of hard drive space. Hasn't happened since. Sonar also closed in the middle of playback. No error message just completely closed. I've been having a lot of crashes. I'm running the current update. It always seems one thing is fixed and another broken. Once I find a stable version I'm not updating anymore. So much for paying for lifetime updates.

I love Sonar but the stupid little things that should always work cause a lot of down time. Since there is no more support I hope to find that stable update soon. It's just not worth the chance of an update screwing everything up. I guess I can take the chance and update every 6 months. I don't know.

Sorry you're having trouble but it sounds like this error message is no big deal, maybe.

But what's this about no more support?  I must have missed something.  I never heard of a software company that had no support. (Well, except Apple. )

Many have complained not getting support. I myself was put on the back burner when I had an issue a while back but as always the good people on this forum helped resolve it. I think Cake is very short handed in the support area and have been for awhile now. I will only open a support ticket if I have an issue that cannot be solved here.

I don't think the disk full error is an issue to worry about either unless it prevents a project from being saved which I thought was happening to me.

There IS still support - they got massively behind, but worked at fixing the backlog, and they are WAY better with it all than they were for the past 7-8 months.

To the best of my awareness it is not yet where they intend support to be - but to say there is no more support is just false.

Yeah, I shouldn't have said no support.

Thanks for clearing things up on the support and on the error message.   It would be good to know why I am getting the message, but I guess I won't worry.

Try emptying your Cakewalk Picture Cache folder.

Thanks,  And where might that be found?

This error is one of those gremlins that's been around forever, and often has nothing to do with disk space.  A few suggestions are offered in this writeup:
