But yes, you are mis-reading the advertising.

Thanks Karyn

I remain somewhat embarrassed since I failed to read the  following:
After 12 months of SONAR Membership you get to keep everything you have received, even if you choose not renew.

No worries, we all make mistakes.  It's only the trolls that then won't admit it.

I would send a few PMs to the Bakers though about the activation.  It should have worked automatically if your machine is net connected.  It could be something as simple as a dropped connection during activation which has left their server thinking it worked but your instal not activated.

I suspect you have a mis-match in you Command Center credentials and your SSO credentials.  You might try logging out of Command Center, logging back in and launching Sonar from the command center.  Not sure it will work, but its probably worth 5 minutes to try it.

There's no problem with waiting as long as you like.  The name won't change though,  just a build number.

Is there a boxed version of Platinum available for upgrading ?   ...or, can I upgrade online to one computer then transfer over to my audio computer ?

I only ask because I don't use anti-virus protection on my audio computer, since it's never connected to the internet.  (many years working for Compaq/HP taught me how useless a virus-infected computer can be !)

it's been hinted that boxed versions will be available, but your best option is to download.  You can copy the download files to your audio computer and perform an off-line activation.

Download is better than boxes because from now on all updates will be fed in regular, short intervals as each updated feature is ready.  We're looking a roughly a monthly schedule from what I understand.

Yes, you can download the files from your Cake account, transfer them to your off-line DAW and use the off-line activation procedure found in the FAQ to activate Sonar.

I installed Sonar manually, without Command Center, and the software still activated properly through there instantly.

more, even: while cc is not running, clear any cakewalk cookies from your browser, then launch cc again and see if that helps

good luck!

So far so good. I removed all cookies! Logged out and re-logged  into  the CCC . Now the question remains how do execute (launch??) Sonar fro the center?
