I have got Fl Studio and Sonar Pro

I prefer Sonar as If you want 12/8 and other time signatures It is easier than working out Lego Bricks.
Fl studio Is good for roughing out an idea and Sonar for the serious stuff

In any case I cannot go back to Fruity Loops  "I AM ONE"!!!

I completely understand the frustration, this is not an intuitive, user friendly program, and there are certain quirks of this program that are not covered in the videos or in the forums. If it wasnt for a friend who figured a lot of this out over 8 plus years with Sonar, who held my hand through this, i would have posted the same rant and chucked Sonar as well. The Forums can be useful, but there were too many "Keep Fighting man, you'll figure it out" posts too keep me going. I got lucky with my friend and i am making Music and somewhat enjoying this program, so lets have a little sympathy.

SONAR can combine piano rolls and step sequences in the same track and/or clip, and they can be opened independently and/or converted from one format to the other...or not.

ever try to bounce them all to one clip?   it actually deletes some of the content.  This has been discussed in great detail and replicated by other users... however... never resolved.

DISCLAIMER:  this may just be my opinion and I might be wrong about this:

but it seems like Sonar is built off some really old code.  I feel the product could use a major overhaul.  Load up Studio One or Reason and you will notice just the FEEL of it.. the software is fast and smooth.  It feels like Sonar is very module-based, and each individual piece needs its own load time.  It feels sluggish and archaic.

I realize this is only a GUI based complaint, but I feel it effects overall usability.

SONAR's learning curve is not for the faint of heart or the easily discouraged, but once you've figured it out you'll never leave.  Whenever I use another DAW all I think about is, "Wow, SONAR is much better at this."
