  • Newest Melodyne update 4.0.4 installation errors / VST scan errors

this past weekend i tried to update Melodyne 4 Studio to 4.0.4 and it was a mess, failing the Cakewalk VST scans.  i ended up having to uninstall Melodyne totally from my machine in order to keep working on my project.  i contacted Melodyne support this past Sunday (even provided them with photos of screen caps of the error messages), and i have heard NOTHING back from Celemony.  anyone else have installation problems?  before this newest version, Melodyne Studio 4 worked fine

I had an issue (different from yours) with Melodyne and contacted support. It may take a day or two, I believe there are only a few folks that actually do support. However, they will stay with you to get you up and running. Nothing but good things to say about that group here.

Interesting. I have upgraded to Studio and updated to the latest version and haven't had issues. In terms of using it on SPlat, it has been some light lifting, but no crashes.

well, at least Celemony finally contacted me on Twitter, apologizing for the delay due to being "overwhelmed by ppl's responses to Melodyne 4" but still no help

i still have received NO HELP on this from Celemony.  very surprising lack of support.  i even contacted them again & they acknowledged my support request, but that was it.

i still, STILL, have received no help from Melodyne.  something is really messed up with their customer support.  after not hearing from them for awhile, i will tweet at them on twitter, then i will get an email from Ulf, then, when i try to respond to Ulf's email, it is returned to me as "undeliverable."  so then i write an email (trying to respond to Ulf's email) to support@celemony.com & then i HEAR NOTHING BACK FROM THEM.  one time i was told that my email to support was found in their SPAM folder.  everytime i email them, i send screenshots of all the errors i get from trying to install the newest version of Studio 4 + all the specs of my PC DAW environment & it's like they never get them.  i sent them another one of these emails (with screenshots & specs) this past weekend & HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM CELEMONY.  i tweeted at them to ask if they got my email, or if it ended up in their SPAM folder again, and they do not respond to me there either.  now i feel like they are ignoring me, a customer that spent the money to buy their product who is having a problem installing their software on a PC where all my other software works.  i can't believe how awful this situation has turned out to be.  it has been since MARCH 6th since i first requested help.

well, i finally got Celemony to try to help me, but alas, they could not.  they suggested that i try to get Cakewalk to try to fix my problem.  boooo!

Uninstall your current version of Melodyne.

Clean up the registry using Ccleaner (some will howl at this, but if you only use the registry cleaning module you'll be safe)

Don't forget to make a back up,of the registry before cleaning it - you'll be prompted to do so anyway.

Log into your Celemony account and download your personlised file - it will be the larest version.

Install and activate. Should work.
