Has anyone made a tutorial on how to make a video of themselves playing. I'd like to use Sonar for the audio and what ever I need for the video. Obviously I'll need some sort of camera and software. How does that sync with audio etc. As you can guess I've never done this. Would love some help.

I think what you'd need is something to sync with. That's what those clapper boards are for.

So - the video is also going to have an audio track. Try playing a couple hits on a kick drum, or three or four power chords when you start recording with the camera and Sonar. Do whatever you need to do in Sonar for audio processing, then Export your Sonar audio mix track. Bring it in to your video editor and look for the transients from the kick hits or power chords. Line those up, then mute the audio track from the video, then render the video.

I use OBS to capture video and audio, everything seems to sync very well. Better still it's free and can be downloaded at OBSProject.com
