Cakewalk support was not very helpful. First answer was useless and in the second answer they said it should be working but they cannot tell exactly because they cannot test it. 

I ended up purchasing Sonar X1 Essential (for the price of MC6). The StudioMix controller is already working there. 

That comparison chart was very helpful. So I guess if StudioMix works in my X1 it should also work in MC6.

Glad you got it working with X1 essentials. 

Unless you already have MC6, I would not worry with it because X1e has more capability. 

sorry you had to go thru that, but glad you got X1E for a cheap price and it works!
