Anyone want to help out?  I just got one in for review.  If anyone in the Dallas area wants to stop by and see how it sounds on whatever your instrument is, feel free to contact me or add to this post.  It is supposedly an affordable version of the Neumann U-87, an allarounder mic, good for everything if not the most "exciting" on vocals and leads.  And a good VO mic from what I've read (and heard last night as I put it through some paces).

Anyway, it could be fun for any SONAR-using locals who are interested.  We used to get together, but DFW was really too spread out for convenient meetings.  So a good excuse to get together again for a special occasion.

I would like to hear this mic! Nice of you to offer that chance to your fellow sonar users! Sadly, too many states away...

Will you be writing a review in TOs?

Tat is the idea, Dave.  Too bad you are so far away.  So far I'm impressed although I've been too busy to do much of anything with it.  Interesting to hear the difference between it and the microtech Geffel 930 on VO.

Hey Alan,
Do you have an AKG414 to a/b it against?

Alan, man - I would love to come by and try it out - but I really just do not have the time to do it!  I look forward to your review, tho!

No AKG.  I have a Microtech Geffel m930, etc.  And a studio with a Neumann U-87.
