Good solution Oldnick - less 3rd party routing and loopbe is rock solid. You could use Bome midi translator as a midi patch bay combined with loopbe30 to send a single output to both places, but again these are costly programs. Really handy piece of kit to have though!

HI yeah BOME  is a bit pricey but loopbe30 is actually quite reasonably priced. I have the trial and I am going to see if I need it over loopbe1.
 
I need to get back into software "pipes" and what they can and cannot do. loopbe1 may be enough.
 
Given that loopbe1 allows me 16 channels of MIDI control, that's a lot of power and if there is a donation ware option I will go that way....not building a sono/vision empire here... :) but I do want to support development.
 
Sorry, a side issue... are your guys collie (BC)/cross? They look like beautiful dogs.

Haha - my favourite side issue Nick!  Layla on the left was a rescue pup, but we suspect she is a BC cross. Indie on the right is purebred, but has a recessive merle gene (kind of a dog half albino), hence she is a bit whiter than most BC's and has very pale skin. Brilliant dogs - but aren't they all? 
 
I'm sure loopbe single is up to the task as you say. I only bought loopbe thirty after a couple of years when I needed to control more software/devices. With regards Bome it is much more than just a midi patchbay. It will recieve ANY type of command (Keyboard, midi etc) translate it to any other type, then send it wherever you like (and to as many sources as you like). It also has zero system impact. If you do ever need to control any software externally it is hard to beat.

Leyla:Suspect!!! She is BC cross :). Indie is an unusual one but very cute and I bet a stupendous personality: I have sen the "albino: BCs before. I have loved all the dogs I have spent my life with, including a Red Cloud who was my first real teacher, but after her  I had a BC staffy cross, who was  handful (50lb Jack Russell) , but spoiled me for other "makes". We currently have  3 BC cross rescues :). None of them is nearly as BC as your guys, but they have all the mental traits and personality and I love them.
 
Yeah Loopbe30 would be a big leap up from Loopbe1 and if you try to install another copy of LB1 you get told off. Bome ....again, I can see possibilities depending on what SONAR can do with various values it uses inside, and sending them out. I have always been fascinated with Audio/Light/animation work and I see a possibility here.....many years ago a show went about called Son et Lumiere, which when I saw it was primitive compared to what could be done now.

I do this and use voicemeeter and not virtual cable. It does ASIO very well. What I use it for is making Sonar training videos. You can get the audio from Sonar mixed with the audio from a local mic on your computer to send to your video capture program so you can comment on what you're doing while also hearing the sonar audio. 
 
In my studio I have an RME UFX interface, I can plug that into the USB on my laptop and it works perfectly with audio from sonar routed directly to the ASIO configured interface. 
 
When I unplug the UFX, my sonar reverts to the voicemeeter ASIO interface which routes things to my onboard audio card. So sonar doesn't have to be reconfigured to work with my onboard sound card. 
 
If I want to doing a short video, I start up the free version of camstudio and use voicemeeter to route audio from my local mic and mix it with sonar's audio output to send it to camstudio. Then I can use camstudio to capture the video with all the audio. 
 
I don't know if you can do all that with virtual cable, but with voicemeeter you can. As someone else said, it does take a bit to get your head around it and get it all configured. But I can successfully go from my RME ASIO interface and back to my local sound card, mix in my local mic for video capture and never have to reconfigure sonar, sans once in a while needing to pull down the master output and send it to the voicemeeter output.

Yeah - I guess we're a little more certain than suspect:)  3 rescues -  that is awesone Nick! Feelin' the love. You are so right about those personailty traits. I had a border collie cross as a very young boy and many breeds since all of which I loved, but our last 2 dogs were border collies, and you can see what's happened since. There's no going back:) There's nothing quite like our dogs mate.

No there is no way you could do what you are doing with voicemeeter with VB Cable, as VB Cable is just a MIDI router.
 
I am going to save all this stuff in case I need to do what everybody is DOING here! :D But right now my needs are much simpler and I am just just getting back into it and playing about. Software "gear" is so much cheaper and more powerful than hardware gear, and I love lots of gear and what it can do, but I seriously need to look at core values....SONAR and music....well....and maybe...:)
