Hi,

I never had any problems with Bitbrige. I installed Jbridge because anothe piece of software does not have a 32 bit bridge.
Looks like Sonar PLatinum detect the Jbridge installation  and use it instead of Bitbridge by default.

Is there a way to disable this feature other than going through each 32 bit plugin and disable the Use Jbridge box in the plugin preference ?

Thanks,

Uninstall JBridge.

That'll fix it.

Jbridge provides the "JBridger" option to have 32 bit plugins bridged into a folder of your choice. If you go that way it is easy to just make sure that folder is not included in the list of scanned folders by SONAR's VST Manager. I haven't used 32 bit plugins in a long time, but when I set it up that way I could choose whether or not to use bitbridge, by having Cakewalk scan the 32 bit folder, or JBridge, by using the bridged folder instead.

Thanks Brando.
Looks like a valid strategy.
Hopefully one day all vendors will have updated their plugins to support 64 bits

No doubt they will.

Then you can buy all those plugins again.

I don't have any 3rd party 32 bit plugins any longer and I think that some of SONARs freebie VSTs are still 32 bit?????? And I thought that JBRIDGE is what is now built into SONAR to bridge 32 bit plugs into 64 bit OS?

One of the things I noticed about the 32 bit VSTi plugs is that they wouldn't dock and if you wanted to see them the bridge became an APP in the OS's task bar?  Is this still the same behavior or did the bakers change this.  This was the only I way I used to notice 32 bit VSTi's.
