I read it on the Cakewalk forums, so it must be true. Right. A guy with one post swoops in with a horror story and we choose to believe him? Come on people.

I verified this guy's claims myself from various sources and I think the story is true. :(

Ugh. I'm torn now as to whether to use the VC 64. It works really well for me as a mastering tool, with the Preset "Gentle M-S Mastering." It seems made for orchestral music, or at least it works really well for it. Now, every time I use it I'm going to feel slimed. IF I continue using it.

The software did nothing wrong. You can use it without any moral problems. That said I'm not completely sure why what the FBI did is so wrong. They caught a bad guy and maybe his associates. I see that as a good thing. Further human traffickers need to be hunted down and put away.  
 
If he is guilty of these things its on him not the people using the software. They knew nothing about it.  I sure didn't.  I thought he had passed away.   
 
Its funny I have not used anything he wrote for a long time. One reason they are all 32 bit. 
 
 

Defenitely Cakewalk will discontinue his software if indeed it's him and he's convicted.
No brand on earth wants to run a convicted pedophiles products.
 
I'm gonna vote for a party that rates childrens safety over adults privacy.
If police get authority to search peoples computers for pedophile content, more children can be saved from these monsters.

Exactly. I'm sure that there are evil stories associated with half the things that we rely on in daily life. You could easily get put off doing just about anything if you look deep enough into history.
