After all the uninstalling/ reinstalling/computer resetting /reinstalling bla bla. OMG! it took so long.  Anyway, it was a corrupt file.  I have no idea why or how a file becomes corrupt or what it had to do with D-pro but that's what it was. (At least I hope - but hasn't crashed for a couple of hours so fingers crossed) So if you ever have trouble with fatal error crashes, check your file first.

thanks for your replies anyway.

Hi all, I posted about these fatal errors the other day, I did a reinstall and thought I had sorted it but no - in the end I have had to reset my PC

Anyway, I also installed Sonar on my laptop, so I thought I would use that in the interim, I stupidly did the update that I first suspected and then discounted as being the problem. And after just a few moments I got the fatal error message on my laptop. It can't be the laptop can it, its a 2 month old HP Spectre running i7 etc. and anyway surely its too much of a coincidence ? ? ?

Has anyone else had issues since updating ?  I just really an stumped as to what next. I see little point in resetting my laptop as well.

No issues - what (else, beside Sonar version) common between the laptop and the main DAW? What OS? What version of Sonar?

I only use Sonar Platinum - both laptop and desktop run windows 10 and the only other software that has been loaded onto both is: office 365 and ESET security

I'm not familiar with ESET security, but if it's an anti-virus type of thing, it might be preventing SONAR from making necessary writes to the system during installation. Try turning security features off, then re-installing SONAR.

I have disabled my security, uninstalled re-installed from scratch but still getting fatal error - the problem is to do with dimension pro but I have no idea why or how to fix it. Everything works fine when I disable D-pro so I know I can get along without it BUT its my favourite synth so I really would like it.

Any suggestion welcome
