I just got it 2 days ago with a great offer directly from the FabFilter site.  Oh well!  Off to experiment with what I have now, then re-evaluate when Q3 comes out.  Although the dynamic EQ's options are great in other products I own.

as a vendor I like fabfilter, they just get on with it.. and are consistent with what they offer. I guess I'm like others, I'll just buy it without a lot of over thinking about it. it's not like it's super high prices vs other things I see either.
 
Bit, funny you mention melda also.. I bought their lifetime bundle, so yer like fabfilter.. at the start neither were cheap. but I feel both do earn my money vs what they update etc.
 
other vendors is too quick to discount and discontinue products or make upgrades not backward comp.. that affects my trust in them..

I wondered if the brass band was Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, but they are an English band from where I lived for 7 years in Hyde Park, Leeds, England.
 

Just received the email that Q3 is available. And because of my recent purchase I do get the upgrade for free. A little bit of coffee, and then head upstairs to download it.

Think it depends on what you own, but it is at least 50% off to start.
I have the Pro MB2 and The Pro Q2 and it seems to be about $89 for the upgrade.
