What part of the guy has Windows 10 OS using the VS-700 which is not supported don't you understand?

Windows 10 will not work with the VS-700, unless he tried that hack in which he didn't, so Windows 10 will not work. He either has to do the Win 10 hack, or go back to Windows 8 or 7

Roland has stated that there will be no Windows 10 driver for the VS-700. Roland considers it a discontinued product (see lower-right of the image).

That's a lot different than saying he must roll back to Win7 which is what you initially said. I was the first to mention the hack. The OP has yet to state whether he has or hasn't run the hack yet with latest driver. We are not even sure if this is the issue....yet. We await more info.

Nah, you failed, and failed him, you should have just told him that Roland doesn't support Windows 10, and that's why he's getting BSOD errors. You could have said there are folks doing a hack and they provided instructions and he wouldn't have been confused about not knowing there are no working Win 10 drivers from Roland.  You got the dude so confused he probably still mixed up not understanding he needs that workaround for Win 10 to work. If he's not smart enough to read the threads where numerous references indicate a new Win 10 hack, then maybe he's just as confused as you are on how to read an article to solve a problem.

I apologise I will improve the quality of service in future. Next time I shall come up with the immediate answer. I should have told him to immediately downgrade to Windows 7 and cut it off rather than await further information from the OP, in order to see what the next course of action may be. Even though the error message points to no hardware in particular, and the fact that this is the very first thead I've seen with this error message paired with this particular interface and Win10, I should have made immediate assumptions right or wrong.. My bad ;)

So anyway sorry looks like the OP's issue is already resolved without him supplying feedback of any sort ;)

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I've decided to strip down my computer and see if I can eliminate the problem, then work my way back to my current setup, hopefully finding what is causing the process in the first place.

Of note: I'm perfectly aware that Roland isn't supporting Windows 10, and the only way to install the Vstudio 700 hardware is with hacked drivers -- which I used. Actually not really hacked drivers, just altering one of the install files that let Windows know what the files are for, if I understand properly.

The Roland hardware has been functioning just fine in Windows 10 for a few months, and the BSODs are a new development that may have nothing at all to do with Vstudio, but could be anything from CPU beginning to fail, to a power supply that's aging, to airflow problems. That is one of the frustrating things -- this particular crash could have any number of causes, and tracking it down can usually only be done by a lengthy process of test and elimination. The DMP files are unusually uninformative, and have a lot of "unkowns" and blank parameters.

I'm hoping its just a wonky power supply, or maybe bad RAM.

Indeed. So if I could point to my first post again before we ran off on a tangent, anything at all in the windows event viewer?

This may be useful..
