Reloading a random project I'm seeing a bunch of problems with VST3 VST2 plugins.  Like they aren't loading the settings correctly.  If I delete the plugin (TVerb by Eventide and full REMatrix) and then re-add it things seem fine.  But otherwise the audio meters are pegged at full volume but there is no sound.  I think this new release isn't ready for prime time.  Not exactly sure how to roll back now either.  Ugh.

Update: After fiddling some more it seems I was wrong, the plugins that are messing up are all VST2 plugins and include Eventide, IK Multimedia and Overloud.  If I remove those four plugins (TVerb, RE:Matrix and T-Racks Bus Compressor and Stealth Limiter) the project seems to play OK.  But with those in, the project acts crazy with VU meters pegged and constant chripping noise even without the playhead moving.  When increase the latency on my sound card (from 16ms to 24ms) the odd effects stop.  I can't remember what I was using when I made this project (a few months ago).  My very old Firewire Focusrite Saffire has never been great with latency but I'd think it should be able to run this project at 16ms.  So maybe it's just my hardware settings.  Still would rather have some way to completely roll back.

I still use Splat mostly but keep up with the CbB updates.  But, I think I'll pass on this update until things are worked out.

It would be great to have the option to roll back. With the new update CbB is useless to me since I can't open any project - it crashes and shutdown. Glad to have SPLAT running stable and reliable.

Obviously a it's bit late now, but what I've done is copied:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core
to
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core 2018.07

I can then run the Cakewalk.exe from within "Cakewalk Core 2018.07" to use the previous version.

It's probably worth doing something like this before each upgrade.

What would have been nice would be to be able to keep the the toast notification but disable the cute little message at the end. I find those really annoying.

No problems with the update here. Everything opens and plays properly, no issues with VSTs
