bitmanHey Cakewalk, while you're overhauling the temp view, can we have a temp averager tool?I record my song free style with a guitar then use melodyne and sonar's tempo detection trick / feature to make a tempo map of what I played.
jkoseattleLong ago I tried that 'conductor' function to set tempos, but it was difficult to use and too limiting, it never stuck for me.
Blogospherianman10 years ago I used Bome's midi translator and glove pie to make a script to allow for conducting Sonar (or any DAW)with a wii-mote. Lots of fun!! One of my many 'projects'. My daughter loved conducting music with it. 😄

At NAMM I saw the Melodyne guy open a window in the software that would allow you to average the tempo over either the entirety of the song or a portion. Not at my studio so I can't direct you but it's worth some investigation. Good luck, EDIT: See if this helps -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVeZDnYKy2U
