Hello, brand new to these forums. I spent some time searching and couldn't seem to find an answer to this.
 
I have a ton of older projects that use Perfect Space. I built a new computer and put a fresh install of Sonar Platinum on it. Perfect Space no longer is included in newer versions of Sonar but I need it for a bunch of work I have to do with some of these older projects. I can't figure out where to go to get Perfect Space VST added for use with Sonar Platinum.
 
Has anyone dealt with this or does anyone have a possible solution?

edit: Scook answered my question below. While going through the process I realized this would help with any situation where someone needed an effect, instrument, library or tool that is no longer included in their current version of Sonar in order to make it backwards compatible with older projects. So I changed the subject line of my post from "How would I add Perfect Space to a fresh install of Sonar Platinum?" to "Install effect instrument library tool, discontinued in Sonar, for backward compatibility?" and then I wrote in a comment below what I hope is a detailed guide to doing this in general and also specifically with Perfect Space and Sonar Platinum v.23.1.0.32.

Perfect Space was included though X3 Studio/Producer.
 
Run the installer for a previous version which included the plug-in, select the advanced option (it is a couple of screen into the install) then select the plug-in from the advanced install component list.

You could try this: the ProChannel should have the REmatrix Solo convolution reverb module. That will load any impulses you may want to use, but not the one that come with Perfect Space. However it's not clear if you want a convolution reverb or the PS impulses or both.

For anyone else that comes across this with the same problem or if you are needing a discontinued feature for backwards compatibility for old projects here is what I did:
 
1) Log into account at cakewalk.com.
2) On the 'My Account Home' screen click on 'My Products'.
3) Click on any previous product that included the desired feature/instrument/effect/etc. (In my case I was able to use Sonar X3 Producer which, scook had let me know, contained the effect I was looking for.)
4) From there download all parts for the installer. (This can be a bit of a pain as something like Sonar X3 Producer requires downloading 4 separate files totaling 5.4 GB all together.)
5) Run installer. When running the installer, install locations are unimportant unless related to the feature you are looking to install.
6) When you get to the screen that asks for serial number you can get that from your product download page.
7) The next screen gives the option of basic or advanced installation. Choose advanced.
8) Two screens later you will be able to select the features you wish to install. Uncheck all boxes except the feature or features you are looking to get. If 'Program Files' is unchecked you will not have to install the older version of Sonar. (Since I was only looking to get perfect space added to my Sonar Platinum effects the only box I left checked was the one next to perfect space.)
9) There are a bunch more install location and file association screens. Make sure to set the install locations related to your desired feature so they will install to your current version of Sonar's directories. (For perfect space the important ones are 'VST Folder' and 'Plug-In Content Folders'. I also unchecked all file associations since I don't want my computer to try and open project files in X3. I also unchecked QuickTime installations.)
10) On the final screen hit install. This will only install your desired feature and nothing else. So for me it only added Perfect Space to my VST folder. Oddly, even though I did not install the X3 application it still created application, help, and read me shortcuts all pointing to nonexistent files.

PhilW, I've just started using REmatrix with new projects and am liking it. Even though I was using Perfect Space on old projects I just recently started understanding what convolution reverbs are actually doing so a lot of things are still kind of unclear to me. If I take one of the impulses from the Perfect Space library and load it into REmatrix will it sound more or less identical or do different convolution reverbs end up processing differently? I'm was just looking to be able to open those old projects without having to tweak or remix anything. Hopefully installing Perfect Space, following scook's advice, will do that for me.

Nope. Way different sound. Nothing sounds quite like Perfectspace, for good or bad.
