I have a friend who uses Sonar. He wanted to try remixing some of my projects.
My question is, when I copy the project files do I need to copy other files to include my Mix Recall Scenes? Or will those Mix Recall Scenes be included with the project file?
I always save my Mix Recall then immediately save the project.
I am just using a USB drive. I use SPLAT, mainly just Mix Scene Recall and just the Waves Platinum bundle. He has the same plugins so would those plugins show up on his PC as well?

We work on 4 computers with the same plugins. And open projects in the network.
That works perfectly.
All plugins must be installed in the same way. No mismatch between VST2 and VST3. And all have to be the same version. The Mixscenes are saved within the project folder.
So you can copy the complete project folder to an USB drive.
You can send a small test-project without audio but with all your plugins via internet to your friend. So it tooks only a little storage place. Then you can see what happens with the plugins by your friend.

As long as you are using a per project folders everything should be in your projects folder.

Look and see.
There should be the CWP icon , the Audio folder and the Mix Recall folder inside.

I transfer a lot between machines.

My method for most songs is-  I open a Template or a blank project (same thing) and immediately perform a "Save As".
During this save, I browse to the location I want to save the project, which will be a sub folder of my Data drive, Say, " Original Songs"  folder.
I open that, create a new folder,
name it for the new song (project),
open that folder, check the Copy all audio box,
name the new song and save it.
I also put any MIDI files and lyrics in that folder, everything to do with that song is in that folder.
I will then drag and drop this folder to a back up drive to transfer.
This creates a back up file which I will date.
This stay on this drive and can be transferred to any other computer.
If I update the song on the second computer, I then drag and drop it back to the external drive and change the date.
I do not delete any versions until I'm 100% certain this is OK to do.

Is there a way to set per project folders as a setting in SPLAT?  Don't mean to hijack thread but just curious.

And I did not do Save As. So, I have the CWP icon there. In order to find the Audio folder and the Mix Recall folder, I am going to have to search for them right? And the files inside those folders should be named something similar to the Project (CWP icon) name, right?
Once I find them, can I move them to their own project folder without destroying anything on the song/project?
Just want to make sure moving those folders will not mess anything up with song - I spent tons of time perfecting Melodyne harmonies, guitar tones, etc.

I believe per project audio is the default behaviour in Sonar Platinum now. The only exception is when you create a new project without naming it, in which case it will default to the global audio folder.

Surely sending a bundle file would be more convenient than the project folders?

There,s no need for bundles if everything is in a folder like Johnny say,s. I,ve had bun files go bad on me so I don,t like them.
And you can easily accomplish this by the following
Open project. Is it all there? If so
SAVE AS
Check the copy audio with project box
Browse to the storage location
Now save it.
All the project stuff will be in that folder now.

I believe you're referring to those older .bun files. I'm referring to .cwb files, which I've never had a problem with when transferring from one system to another.
