Hey, this is an old thread, but I'll just jump in here to add this in case anybody else is looking for this info.
Another guitar player recently posted a similar question here, and he ended up with a Nektar Impact LX49+, which he said mapped nicely to the Sonar transport controls, etc. It lists integration with Sonar and Reason, and a few others.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnCTH0FJVI Bear in mind that DAW integration and Plugin integration can be two different animals. Some keyboards can do one or the other well, like the Native Instruments keyboards, integrating well with their instruments, but not all DAWs, such as Sonar.
https://www.native-instru...lete-kontrol-s-series/ So you might need one keyboard to control your DAW, and a second to control your plugins, if you wish to avoid all manual configuration ... there is always "MIDI learn", to map a specific control you want. It's simple, but only maps one control at a time.
Nektar Impact LX49+/LX61+/LX88+ maps for Sonar (the LX25+ appears to lack a couple of the mixer and instrument controls - no faders!):
TRANSPORT BUTTONS- Cycle on/off
- Rewind by 1 bar
- Forward by 1 bar
- Stop
- Play
- Record
- Goto Left locator
- Set Left locator to current song position
- Set Right locator to current song position
- Undo
- Metronome on/off
- Record Arm on/off for current track
SOFT-TAKEOVER- Eliminates parameter jumping
- Parameter value only changes when control position matches value
- Display indicates whether controls should be moved up or down to takeover parameter value
NAVIGATION BUTTONS- Track change -/+
- Navigate the instrument rack using Patch -/+ buttons
INSTRUMENT- Open/close VST instrument window
- Nektar Map System store and recall map settings for VSTi plugins
- The Default page maps pots to parameters as per blue control labeling
- The User page maps pots to
- Faders 1-4 commonly mapped to amp ADSR envelope
- Faders 5-8 commonly mapped to filter ADSR envelope
- Fader 9 control VSTi Instruments main volume
- All VSTi mapping is user customizable using Nektar "Grab" function including faders, fader buttons and both page assignments
- User customization can be either temporary (active for as long a project is open) or saved
MIXER- Open/Close Mixer window
- Control up to 8 channels at a time
- Volume assigned to faders 1-8
- Pan assigned to pots
- Mute controlled by fader buttons
- Solo
- Bank over to control more channels (1-8), (9-16) etc
- Current track controlled by fader 9
- Master Volume
