Nucleus (2) is targeting other segment. Roland has tried working there with Sonar, they had VS700. And that was unsuccessful. There is no reason for SSL to look in Sonar direction since (most?) Sonar users are not looking in SSL direction. This forum is filled with questions about sub $500 devices, top end is around $2000. For a reason I think there are some people which use Sonar with "real" studio equipment, but they are not active in this forum and the number of them is not sufficient for an attention from such equipment producers.

I am 100 percent agree with you. I haven seen even 1 time here someone is asking a question about some expensive gears(Control surface or mixer). I had a plan to buy an SSL Mixer, I contact them and they said SONAR is compatible with some of their mixers and I can use it not only as a mixer but also using as a control surface.
But, with these lots of major updates with sonar, God knows if it works properly. For example, Sonar even still has some difficulty to work with VS700C (the device which designed specifically for sonar) after updating from 8.5 to x1 x2 x3 and Platinum. Like as I mentioned in the other post, Master Fader doesn't function properly if you install sonar on win8,8.1. Or even it won't install on windows 10 because there is no driver for windows 10.
Roland and Cakewalk they both reject to do something for it.
And now imagine you spend more than 20.000 dollars and see every day one new issue and no one won't take the responsibility.
Sometimes I think I should go with Logic or something else after 15 years loyalty.
I don't why I love Sonar??????

OK, then explain all the variations of Pro Tools and try to apply this logic. BTW - you are, in a back-handed sort of way, saying that SONAR will never be anything more than an also-ran software. I guess we should all switch to Pro Tools, then, because we are just wasting our time.
