Current version 2016.12. I've noticed this in several previous X versons as well.
 
Occassionally the Inspector channel strip will not update to the current track in focus no matter how many times I click on the track. To "jar it loose" I have to click on several different tracks before it finally starts following them properly or close Sonar and reopen it.

That does not happen here.

You may not be able to as it is so seldom I forget about it until a week or month later when it happens again. It may even be project related.

Sonar sometimes has trouble with "selected" vs.  "has the focus". More than once I've made adjustments to the wrong thing. Now I check to make sure that the inspector and I agree what we're working on. 
 
I think sometimes you need to reset by clicking some other view, like the cv, then start again by changing the focus and selecting a track. 

every once in a while I will have a selection issue as well, it is not often but it happens.
with me it happens when:
 
Trying to see a track with the multidock half open (the console view up half way so 2 tracks/ with wave forms can be seen). What happens is I click on a track in console view to see that track in Track view.
but some times it sticks or something. so after clicking on another track, then back to the original track it seems to jar it loose.
 
Not a show stopper by any means but a small nag. this could be what you are seeing as well.
Im one of these people that understand perfection is not a given. there are always going to be quirks here and there. Im simply thankful to be doing things with digital audio that were unheard of 10 years ago. so I take the quirks with a grain of salt .
 
But none the less, its annoying and would like to see it handled in future releases.

This happens in full Track View. A related issue is clicking on a track number to FOCUS it but it refuses to focus. It's like Sonar isn't paying attention. Again, it happens very seldom.

tv and inspector going "out of sync" was an issue pre-X-series as well, maybe it's a regression bug?
