I would like to upgrade to Windows 10 when the driver becomes available for my Edirol FA-66 but every I try to back up I get an error message it was unable to complete the back up. This was the second try. The first showed I had corrupt files in the system image form the initial upgrade. I'm at a loss here on what to do. Everything I've done has turned into a disaster. I've been told what I need to do but each and every time
I
try
it doesn't work

Have you tried making a backup (disc image) with a program such as the free Macrium Reflect? A good disc backup program, rather than the built in Windows backup works much better (and makes a complete backup of the entire hard drive).

From an administrative command prompt run chkdsk /R for all your hard drives.
Then check this link:

Make sure windows update is up to date.
Back using something acronis trueimage or above suggestion.

You probably had corruption all the time just didn't know it... so Win10 done you a favour without even installing :)
