You need at least a dual head graphics card, but there are possibilities via USB3.0 as well.
My PC is already 7 years old, but has a ATI Radeon 5000 series graphics card which has the possibility to connect two monitors. The rest is done in Windows via right mouse button on the desktop.
Select "Screen Resolution", there you can change the appearance of your displays.
I chose to set "Multiple Displays: Extend these displays"
In this dialog you will have to see at least two displays, use detect and identify. Once you see displays numbered 1 and 2 you can set their behaviour.
