  • How can I change Sonar Platinum's Color Scheme to the old Sonar 8.5 Color Scheme? (p.3)

Total non-issue for me: I rarely use the console as an individual panel and that's such a specific track scenario I doubt it would ever matter for most people. Nice work.

Here's what I've got so far, still a lot of work on all the different buttons and knobs and such.  A couple things I wish could work better is the colour for the console view strips, in 8.5 it was a gradient that made it look more metallic and that's not possible now,...

Hey Trance, it still is possible to incorporate the gradient.  See screenshot below. Note the Input Gain, ProChannel compressor, and Sat Tube modules (highlighted in red outlines) I was able to mod using the graphic element (4 console view channel strips) found in the old Sonar 8.5 Resources folder.
In case you don't have that graphic, contained in this image is the link to download it:
"Due to recent PhotoBucket TOS changes regarding 3rd party hosting, I have removed these links." 8-7-2017

Of course, it takes some chopping up with a graphics editor to make it work.

"One thing I have noticed with it though, and I think it has something to do with the theme editor, is in console view when the tracks are narrow the FX names are black, and I can't seem to find what's controlling that"

Note the narrow track in the first screenshot.  I found those FX names in the TE folder tree under: Theme/FX Rack/FX Name & Bypassed FX Name (second & third selections, top row).  In my copy of Sonar, it did take several times switching back & forth between different themes in Sonar and going to narrow track, then back to wide several times before my copy of Sonar seemed  to recognize or 'latch on' to the change. Don't know what's up with that, but it has happened with me sometimes.
I agree, altho there are some mighty fine options here and I've been working on some of my own themes, 8.5 gui is still my personal favorite.
Best, HeyDan

I get that, however my issue is the uniformity of it. It's not possible to make the entire strip a gradient, yes sections are possible and that's fine but I really want the whole strip to be a uniform style.

This is a great theme. a lot of cool detail.
I tried making a theme using my Tascam M-520 as a reference. this takes a lot of time and effort so I can really appreciate your work.

Thanks.  I'm very interested in making one to simulate physical hardware too, thinking it may be my next project.
