You could be right. I just checked my system and it has 23 versions of the MS C++ libraries. I had it down to 9 at one point. The 2012 library has 7 different versions. They all have different sizes and the difference in the rev number is often in the 3rd or 4th decimal point.
It's no wonder systems crash and burn when trying to run a recording studio on one. The interaction of all of Sonar's stuff internally combined with 3rd party interactions would generate a huge number of potential outcomes. Then drop in something that wasn't well written, or follows different rules......
I kind of hope they consolidate all the recent updates and do some tuning. I'm real far back in the learning curve.
