Oh, one thing of note, this computer came from Dell set up in RAID configuration. I have never had a computer that uses RAID and, I know absolutely nothing about it at all. Is there any chance this could have anything to do with my problem? Does it require any changes in formatting or anything that I'm not aware of? My computer knowledge is limited and, as I said, I have never dealt with a RAID setup before and know nothing about it. 

RAID is a technology that spreads your data across several disks, including redundant copies, so that if one disk fails everything will still work. That's a very simplistic explanation, but hopefully you get the gist.
 
If it's setup with anything other than RAID-0 (i.e. basically no RAID at all), it will almost certainly affect disk streaming performance.
 
You don't want RAID on your audio streaming disk.

To the OP - What are your autosave settings?

I do notice others complaining about issues with the same interface here is the most recent.

OK, here's where I'm at now.... I have eliminated firewire altogether. I bought a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (USB). Well, guess what.... I still have the same problems. So basically, at this point I have bought a new computer and a new interface just to try to get Cakewalk working properly for me. I'm getting pretty skeptical that I am ever going to get that. I'm totally out of ideas at this point. And, once again, through all of this, Studio One works perfectly. As much as I hate the idea, it's looking like I may have to bite the bullet and make the switch to Studio One. I mean, I've really tried here but, it just doesn't seem to be working out.
