I have recently purchased Sonar Platinum with lifetime updates, but I was wondering if:
* Can I uninstall Sonar Professional being that I'm never going to be using it anymore? Can it be removed from my Command Center?
* Can LPhase, Z3TA, Theme Editor, Melodyne, Brian Hargrove, KickStart Expansion Pack, Rapture, XLN, and DPro be uninstalled/removed or does the new Platinum utilize any of those.

You may install anything you wish. The products will still be shown in the Command Center because you still have the right to use them. Uninstalling Professional makes sense but uninstalling

LPhase, Z3TA, Theme Editor, Melodyne, Brian Hargrove, KickStart Expansion Pack, Rapture, XLN, and DPro

does not unless you have no intention to use them. These are the same installers used by Platinum.

Consider hiding installers you are not planning on using. Hidden installers are not scanned for updates. All children and some top level installers may be hidden. The hide option in on the installer context menu. Right-click on an item in the Command Center to see its context menu.

I recently uninstalled pro after installing platinum. After I did so, I booted up platinum and I received error messages about not being able to connect with some database. This resulted in platinum not scanning for vst's. The vst manager had everything grayed out so I couldn't manually add vst folders to scan. I reinstalled pro and it fixed the problem in platinum. I'm contemplating uninstaiing pro AND platinum and doing a fresh install of platinum. It appears that the installation files are stored on the hard drive so everything doesn't have to be downloaded again. I uninstalled cakewalk pro through command center.

Small footprint disk space wise...IMHO leave it be.

I tried uninstalling pro and platinum and then reinstalling platinum. It remedied the problem with the database errors and vst scan. I noticed, however, that  at least one of the plugins showed up missing in a project (th3 i think). So-o-o I reinstalled pro again. the missing plugin showed up again. I think the pro folder showed about 80 meg difference in drive space. I agree with KingsMix and leave it in.

It's always better to install a superior or newer version last.

Perhaps a shared file has been deleted when you uninstalled Sonar Pro. It's only a minute work to reinstall just Sonar Platinum itself.

Mudgel,
Thats exactly what I did. I uninstalled both pro and platinum. I then reinstalled platinum itself. I had plugins that should have installed with platinum missing.

Hello Scook... Tried to hide the installers in the context menu (in CC) but was not given an option to hide.  Menu options that were available as follows:  Rollback, unistall, and delete files.   Am I missing something?

Errrrrr... operator error.  User must click on each individual product to access the hide option.   Sorry.
