Hi all,

I haven't touched midi a whole lot lately but I'm going through something rather interesting/annoying:

1) On my meter track the meter no longer reacts when I turn on the record button. It works on playback however.

Everything works normally for audio tracks.

2) While recording midi I no longer see the not appearing "live" when I'm looking at my track. I'm pretty sure we were seeing the notes while playing not so long ago.

Am I missing something really obvious? I found nothing useful in "preferences" nor in the "options" tab of the track. Note that I see the same behavior in the console,
Yes data is being recording as I can play them back.

Heeeelp!

Thanks

Mario

MIDI meters are always output meters even when the track is armed for recording. If Input Echo isn't enabled because you're using local control with a keyboard synth (or otherwise routing MIDI to harware synths outside SONAR), you won't see any activity. Soft synths must have MIDI echoed to them so this can really only happen with hardware synths.

MIDI is a protocol that is sending small blocks of data the meter measures activity not levels. Its based on velocity plus CCs.
