I do not have a Tascam device to check but would imagine the download comes with everything. I did not see anything tricky about their download page. Not having first hand experience with the device or manufacturer I will have to defer to those using Tascam interfaces. You might want to add some info about the rest of your hardware and OS.

Thanks so much for your help anyway tho. I do appreciate your time. Seems like its 100% tascam issue here.

Also, to get support I have to pay to call them as its long distance and they dont reply to emails.

Seems whenever I need something I dont know about and ask for advice instead of learning it all myself, I get screwed.

lesson learned, steer clear of tascam/teac

Did you open the tascam panel in Windows and made the right choices there?

That is a good start. Is the device connected to a USB2 or USB3 port? I assume you have booted the machine since installing the drivers?

AFAIK. It looks like the panel was last updated for winxp. Theres not really any info on anything so setting up is kind of difficult.

Why would you want people to jump in and disagree with you?

Did you install the Tascam Software Mixer?

Its connected to USB3, I dont have any USB2 ports. According to the tascam site its fine on USB3.

where do I find aud.ini?
found it in appdata. deleted it, started sonar, same error.

I dont understand that disagree with me part? I'm having issues trying to get something that should be simple to work.
I installed the software and drivers, so yes I have the mixer. Looks like winxp age and has 0 info about it.

I don't have LE ... the location for my X3 version is at
C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR X3 Producer

Note that 'AppData' is hidden by default
