Thanks Jim for all your posts and details on this. I'm still deciding on whether to do the free upgrade to Win 10. I'm just not sure about all these privacy issues that are attached to the upgrade and the outcome of accepting??

Hi,

upgraded to Win 10 few days ago. No problem at all. I still use an old Echo Mia PCI interface (Not MiaMIDI) with an old driver that is 4-5 years old. The same driver I used since Win 7. ASIO buffer set at 128 or 256 when tracking with soft synths or 1024 when mixing. I render everything to audio when mixing (or freeze tracks). Works perfectly. So maybe a question of hit or miss depending on the interface ...

Most audio interfaces (even without Win10 specific drivers) are going to work just fine under Win10.

I installed Windows 10 and all my programs are running except I had to use a 3rd party video player since W10 does not play back MP4!
My Steinberg UR44 has some glitches and its drivers need updating for W10.  Steinberg recommends holding off on upgrading until they address it. I jumped anyway.

What UR44 issues do you have Rimshot? I have the same interface and found that reinstalling the drivers fixed the glitches. I run in ASIO mode and the issues with the UR44 timing seem to be related to those using WDM drivers.

Presonus lists their drivers as Win 10 capable. My 1818vsl works fine.

Hi Max-

Sorry, I can't help with any of the interfaces you mentioned, but I'm sort of in the same boat with my Komplete Audio 6. The NI web site suggests holding off on Windows 10 until they've completed compatibility tests with the release version. Apparently they've been testing with pre-releases. I'm encouraged that they at least have come out with a statement, since when I checked last they hadn't mentioned Win 10 at all.

I wonder if it would make sense to have a sticky with good/bad results with specific interfaces and Windows 10 once the results start coming in. Maybe not totally necessary, but I'm sure lots of folks will be checking in to see how others are faring once the dust starts to settle. Couldn't hurt, I suppose, except I know some folks think you can never have too few stickies!

Thanks-

-Susan

Hey Susan - I've got a KA6 and recently (this week) upgraded to Win10. I haven't done any extensive testing, but haven't encountered any issues yet. I'll try to load up a few heavier old projects and see if they still perform as before.
